THE LASTBORN (a father's tribute)

As a child you’re unsure

If it’s white or brown sugar to buy

You ask permission to drink a glass of milk

But by yourself prepare leche flan when hungry

As a man you’re certain

What college course to attain

The girl to marry

The job to obtain

As the youngest

Without delay

You got your college degree

Passed the board exam

As your father I feel blessed

To have a courteous son

A loving husband

A caring father

As your father I am proud

You’ve proven to the rest

The last is not the least.
